Robert Baker was a friend of Bruce Lee as well as his cannabis and cocaine supplier. Lee gave Baker the role of Petrov in Fist of Fury in return for all his drug favors. Baker studied Jeet Kune Do under James Yimm Lee.
In 2021, Baker's daughter put all of Lee's letters to her father up for auction.
